ADULT HEALTH AND SOCIAL CARE

Our suite of Adult Health and Social care courses are an ideal way to develop knowledge and understanding about this vital sector of work.

If you are looking to train as a care worker, gain skills for a promotion or start a whole new career these courses are a great place to start. You’ll gain an understanding of working with vulnerable adults who may have a range of needs from learning disabilities to dementia, as well as developing communication skills, health and safety, safeguarding and person-centred care.

BUSINESS, IT AND PROFESSIONS

Our Business and IT courses offer you the chance to develop or update a wide range of skills covering IT, computing and accountancy.

Our suite of Professions courses will give you the skills and qualifications for work in Health and Social Care, Childcare and Supporting Teaching and Learning in School.

Whether you are looking for a promotion, planning a career change or hoping to launch your own business, we can support you to reach your goals.

We offer a selection of online and offline courses with some combining the two. Making it easy for you to fit studying around commitments.

COMMUNITY COURSES

Community ESOL, Employability and Vocational classes are available at different locations in the borough.

Free for learners on certain benefits, we offer both accredited and non accredited courses to learners at Entry levels and level 1.

CREATIVE ARTS

Visual Arts at WM College is a vibrant department that offers courses in a broad range of subjects from traditional drawing and painting to experimental courses where you will learn to explore and express ideas. There is everything from fashion where you can learn to design and cut a pattern, to all kinds of jewellery making, to sculpture and wood carving and ceramics and glass. Why not visit our fantastic printmaking department in Kentish Town and attend some of the only printmaking courses left in London!

Our courses are taught by professionals and we welcome all levels of learning, all ages and all interests. We have big studios and great equipment for you to practise your new found skills on.

CREATIVE DIGITAL MEDIA
ENGLISH & MATHS

We pride ourselves in our high success rates in functional skills and GCSEs. So if you need to improve your English and Maths skills for work or life, or need qualifications to progress into further education, we can help.

Whatever level you are at, we offer a range of courses to give you skills and confidence in these crucial subjects

ESOL

These courses are designed for people whose first language is not English - and are available or complete beginners through to more advanced speakers.

Most of our courses offer nationally recognised qualifications, helping you with work and living in the UK.

FOUNDATION DIPLOMA IN ART AND DESIGN
GET INTO WORK

WM College is committed to help London residents into work. 

This may be your first step into work. You may want to improve your job prospects and find something more fulfilling. Perhaps you want a change of career or have been affected by the pandemic and are looking to re-enter the workplace.

Whatever your situation, we are here for you with a range of free courses and employability support services to help you get into work.

We have short employability workshops on job search skills such as CV writing, interview skills etc.  We also have longer courses to help you prepare more fully for all aspects of job search and generally enhance your employability.  We also offer a job club where you can come and get support on any aspect of job search.  If you are not sure what you need and would like advice, or you feel you need some more individualized help with a particular job application,  try our one-to-one employability coaching.

HEALTH & WELL-BEING

We have an exciting range of health and wellbeing courses designed to help you look after both your physical and mental being.

From beginners yoga to Zumba, mindful meditation to salsa, there’s a class for all physical and energy levels!

HUMANITIES & CULTURE

If you are interested in the history of art, creative writing or journalism our humanities  programme provides rich and varied courses to choose from.

With new courses around the history of the college and Camden alongside a wide range of creative writing and journalism course this is a rich area to explore.

LANGUAGES

Whether you are a total beginner and want to learn some essential vocabulary for a holiday or are a proficient speaker and want to improve your fluency or written skills, we have a course for you. Our expert tutors will introduce you to both the language and the culture, enabling you to communicate effectively

PERFORMING ARTS

Performing Arts at WM College offers a range of courses from drumming, guitar and jazz band to singing and acting. Why not learn to use Logic and develop your DJ skills or brush up on your Music theory? Whatever you choose, you will be able to perform in end of term events in our historic, wood panelled Maurice Hall.

SUMMER SCHOOL

Our courses are taught by professional and talented teachers with vast experience in their field and our state-of-the-art facilities mean your creativity is limitless. Online study options are available, as well as a blended approach of both online and onsite learning.

SUPPORTED LEARNING

We offer an exciting range of courses for learners aged 25 and over who have learning difficulties or disabilities. Our creative courses will help you to develop a range of new skills, as well as improving your confidence and giving you the opportunity to meet new friends.

Any learner wishing to enrol on a supported learning course will be invited along to meet our team, so we can assess your needs and ensure we have the right support in place for you. This can include in-class support and workshops as well as accessibility and practical adjustments.

WORKING WITH CHILDREN

From paediatric first aid to teaching and training, our suite of Working with Children courses are an ideal way to develop knowledge and understanding about this vital sector of work.

 

If you feel passionate about working with children but may have little experience of doing so our courses are the perfect opportunity to learn about communicating with children, how children develop, how to work inclusively with children by promoting equality and
diversity, and also how to plan activities with children.

Explore a new career path or gain skills for work as a teaching assistant or as a support worker in early years or nursery settings, plus much more.
