Every student will be encouraged to express themselves by composing in any style they prefer, such as classical, modern, jazz, minimal, serial, ethnic and will be taught compositional techniques, music theory and other information relevant to the chosen style. Counterpoint, harmony, form, and orchestration will be taught when applicable.
