Enamelling is an ancient technique first used by the Chinese, Greeks and Egyptians, fusing glass to metal to decorate and add colour to jewellery and other precious objects. This two-day workshop will teach you how to prepare and clean copper,and then using vitreous enamels you will dry sift and wet pack your designs onto copper discs and fire in a kiln to produce a range of jewellery pieces, which you will then clean and polish. All basic materials and equipment provided.

In this introductory silver clay course, you will be taught how to work with silver clay, combined with creative jewellery making. You will be taught how to make moulds with silicon, create patterns, textures and carve the clay. It also includes use of the hand torch for sintering and tips of how to use the different types of silver clay tools. All materials provided and you can bring your own clay if you like.

This course builds on our introductory course and offers more advanced techniques and approaches to using silver clay in jewellery making. Basic materials provided, and you can bring your own silver clay.
