On this course, you will learn how three-dimensional and two-dimensional glass art is fabricated using different cold glass treatments including leading, copper foiling, mosaic and various kiln formed techniques like fusing and slumping. You will learn about some of the historical and contemporary contexts of cold-worked glass and how to produce glass art safely. You will receive tutor guidance to pursue your own personal projects. Set class projects will also be available.

This course is designed to develop your existing skills and practice by offering strategies to improve your design, research and studio-based work. There will be optional termly projects which can be used as a basis for developing work. You will also be supported and encouraged to explore and develop your own ideas and work on self-initiated personal projects. As a maker, the tutor can also advise on all aspects of your professional and creative development.
