Pop-up Exhibition

We’re pleased to announce the opening of a brand new pop-up exhibition in our 5th Floor Gallery, titled ‘Congregation’.

The work in this show is inspired by recent topics covered in our Imagination in Art class which looked at the work of 20^th century Filipino artist Alphonso Ossorio for inspiration. Ossorio called his 3D collages “congregations”, which is a fitting description for groups of different and disparate objects coming together in one place. 

Our learners drew inspiration from Ossorio to create their own artwork recycling and upcycling old objects that might normally be thrown away (or get stuck in a drawer or box), including old picture frames. 

Imagination in Art runs on Tuesdays 10am – 1pm for 10 weeks a term. The course looks at different artists and techniques, exploring some drawing, painting, collage, 3D construction and mixed media. Find out more and enrol here.
