Helping the Community Find Work

At WM College, we pride ourselves in offering high quality and cost-effective courses for adults across a wide array of subjects, but the support doesn’t stop on completion of the course.

With the current cost of living the College has put extra effort into ensuring our learners gain the skills, experience, and face to face exposure with employers to secure future opportunities within the community.

At the beginning of March, the College held an extremely busy and successful Progression Event, which drew a crowd of almost 400. Attendees of the event were able to meet with representatives from local organisations to discuss employment and opportunities on offer. The organisations who attended were London Metropolitan University, Birkbeck University, Rebel Business School, Kings Cross Recruit, Special People, UCL NHS Foundation Trust, TERN, Good Work Camden, LIFT, Apprenticeships at Camden, National Careers Service, Start-up School for Seniors, INGEUS, Camden & Islington Volunteer Centre

The next progression event will be held at the College on Thursday 15 June called ‘Choices Day’. Organised by Camden Council and hosted at WM College, the event will bring together local employers and charity organisations to provide information and advice to local residents. Everyone is welcome to come along!

As well as opportunities to attend events and meet local employers all WM College learners can access guidance and support with job searching, completing application forms, improving CVs and advice on interview skills through our Careers and Employment Advice service

Keep an eye on our events page for more information on future events.
