Course Requirements
This course is aimed at beginners in the Spanish language who would like to learn at quicker pace, covering the whole one-year syllabus for Spanish ? Beginners in just two terms (Part 1 beginning in January and Part 2 in the summer term).
Course Content
Continue learning Spanish and getting to know the culture. Follows on from Beginners Intensive Part 1. This course will further develop your basic grammar and vocabulary, so that you are able to deal with everyday situations in Italian.
Teaching and Learning Methods
In this course you will be actively learning Spanish through a variety of interactive classroom activities, in a relaxed and fun atmosphere. You will work in pairs/small groups to practice speaking and listening, with worksheets and activities to develop your reading and writing. Learning will be enriched through the use of audio-visual aids, realia (authentic material), online interactive resources, and role play. Resources used within each lesson are available for learners on our online learning platform, Google Classroom. The skills you are learning should be practices outside college in order to develop and progress. Homework is set every week and is an essential part of your course.
Assessment
Assessment is continuous and will take place throughout the course. The tutor will give you feedback on your speaking in class, and mark your written work. During the course, you will set up an individual learning plan, where you will reflect on your progress and set your own targets. There is no formal qualification attached to this course but you can receive a Certificate of Completion from the college on request.
Next Steps and Progression
After completing this course successfully, you may enrol on Spanish ? Elementary Part 1 in the new term.
