At WM College we are passionate about celebrating each and every learner for their uniqueness and individuality. We realise the importance of feeling accepted and the ability to express the authentic self, especially when it comes to individual learning journeys.
LGBTQ+ History Month is an important time for us at the College, the month of February is a marker within the annual calendar to shine a light on our fantastically diverse and colourful community not only at the college but within our surrounding neighbourhood.
To celebrate each year we organise art exhibitions around the national campaign themes with brilliant contributions from our creative arts learners and local artists. This year we are once again issuing rainbow lanyards and encouraging contributions towards the art exhibition themed around LGBTQ+ Politics in Art, performance poetry and an array of classroom activities. We are particularly interested to see collage work.
