Course Requirements
The course has no specific requirements and offers individuals the opportunity to engage in a variety of activities based around comedy, humour & improvisation to support individual wellbeing. You will also be expected to complete an Individual Learning Plan to help support your progress.

Course Content
The course will focus upon individual wellbeing in the context of a variety of activities based around comedy, humour & improvisation . The course aims to help individuals develop confidence and well-being through the medium of comedy and humour. Please note: although you will be introduced to all the above over 5-weeks, typically, courses are developmental over the whole year. If you sign up for all six 5 week courses at the start of the academic year e.g. August/September you will be entitled to the early bird discount.
Teaching and Learning Methods
You will learn through, practical activities, group exercises and peer assessment, listening and analysis, demonstration and discussion, use of supporting online materials, individual practice, use of ILT and continuous assessment. There is no homework associated with the sessions but please do discuss extension activities with your tutor.
Assessment
You will be continually assessed through your practical activities and will receive feedback in a variety of ways e.g. peer assessment, verbal and written feedback from your teacher.
Next Steps and Progression
Upon successful completion of the course, you may be able to progress to other WMC performing arts or creative arts classes.

This course is not eligible for Additional Learning Support (ALS), however teachers are supported to ensure their materials are inclusive to meet all learners needs.??Reasonable adjustments including assistive equipment and also access support can be made available through our Disability Officer.?
