WMC CAMDEN COLLEGE SHORTLISTED AT THE TES FE AWARDS 2019
The most outstanding individuals and institutions that the FE sector has to offer have been recognised in the shortlist for the 2019 Tes FE Awards.
It’s been revealed that WMC Camden College (Working Men’s College) has been shortlisted for the Tes Adult and Community Learning Provider of the Year award.
Tes FE editor Stephen Exley said: “Excellent practice exists right across the further education sector, and those shortlisted for the Tes FE Awards are the cream of the crop. Our judges were extremely impressed with the calibre of entries.
“We had more entries for this year’s categories than ever before, and the standard was higher than ever. To be shortlisted is an extraordinary achievement.”
Helen Hammond, Principal of WMC-The Camden College, said: “We are excited that WMC Camden College has been shortlisted for the TES Adult and Community Learning Provider of the Year Award. This nomination highlights how our local College provides such a diverse range of learners with an enriching, positive learning experience, and how important adult education is to help them transform their lives. Testimonies from our learners and our membership into the Chartered Institute for Further Education earlier this year, is evidence that we provide a responsive and relevant curriculum in a friendly community college environment. We look forward to attending the ceremony.”
The winners will be revealed at a gala awards evening at the Grosvenor House Hotel, Park Lane, London on Friday 22 March 2019.
The winners of the specialist provider, adult and community learning provider, and training provider categories will go head to head with the winning FE and sixth-form colleges for the title of overall FE provider of the year and the winner will be awarded on the night of the ceremony.
