A new collaboration to nurture creativity and open pathways into future careers
WM College is proud to announce an exciting new partnership with Dazed Media.
For over 170 years, WM College has been at the forefront of accessible education, creativity, and innovation. Partnering with Dazed, one of the most influential names in youth culture, marks a powerful step forward in our mission: to make high-quality, life-changing learning available to everyone, regardless of background or circumstance.
Dipa Ganguli, CEO & Principal of WM College, says:
“At WM College, we have proudly supported the Camden community for over 170 years, championing education as a force for personal transformation and social progress. Partnering with Dazed reflects everything we stand for – creativity, inclusivity, and opportunity for all. At a time when funding challenges threaten to narrow access to learning, this collaboration opens doors. It sends a clear message: creative futures belong to everyone, not just the few. We’re proud to stand with Dazed in investing in young people and keeping lifelong learning at the heart of our city and we look forward to a longstanding partnership with them.”
WM College will be supporting the Dazed Club Academy to offer free beginner/taster workshops across arts disciplines such as printmaking, laser cutting, and 3D printing. Delivered by WM College’s expert tutors in our specialist studios, these sessions are designed to unlock creativity, develop practical skills, and help learners explore pathways into further study or creative careers.
Our workshops give participants access to industry-standard facilities, including photography and digital media suites, printmaking presses, kilns, and 3D printing equipment. Learners not only gain hands-on experience but also benefit from guidance on building portfolios, preparing for exhibitions, and exploring career opportunities in London’s vibrant creative sector.
Dazed will also publish step-by-step How-To Guides after each workshop, extending learning beyond the classroom with professional insights and practical tips from WM College tutors.
Situated in Camden, one of London’s most dynamic creative hubs, WM College is uniquely positioned to stay on the pulse of contemporary art, design, and culture. This partnership ensures the College remains connected to the latest trends and ideas, which in turn informs and enriches our teaching and curriculum. Learners benefit not only from the workshops themselves, but also from a broader Creative Arts programme that reflects the energy, innovation, and diversity of London’s arts scene.
Sophie McElligott, CMO at Dazed Media says:
“It’s an honour to partner with WM College – a respected, safe, and empowering local institution in Camden – to launch Dazed Club Academy. At a time when government funding cuts are threatening the future of educational charities like WM College, this partnership stands as a powerful act of resistance and hope. These cuts risk dismantling vital support systems that help those most in need access the education they deserve, which is essential to building a more inclusive and equitable society. Through this collaboration, we’re achieving two vital goals: first, we’re empowering young people through free, practical creative workshops; second, we’re encouraging others to enrol in courses or support the college, directly investing in the future of education in the UK.”
The Dazed Club Academy taster workshops are just the beginning. Learners who discover a passion through these sessions can continue their journey with WM College’s Creative Arts programme, which offers courses in painting and drawing, sculpture, fashion and textiles, printmaking, digital media, and more.
