Food’s appearance in art dates back millennia and has since assumed many different connotations, from symbolic and magical to political and even subversive. Starting with a taste of some of the most ancient art, including Paleolithic cave paintings and Egyptian sacred art, you will learn about the fascinating relationship between Art, Food and Culture. Come and whet your appetite for art and food with our teacher Giulia Fassone, an Italian visual artist and art history teacher with a background in cuisine.
