Join us for The 2019 Big Draw Festival!
WMC is taking part in the world’s biggest drawing festival and we need your help! Join us on Saturday 19 October, 10am to 2pm, for The 2019 Big Draw as we put our ideas and creativity together to create a HUGE collaborative drawing depicting London life in all its wonderful diversity.
Our brilliant Childcare and Foundation Art Diploma learners will be on hand, armed with all the equipment and materials you’ll need to help create something completely unique and individual.
The theme for 2019 Festival is Drawn To Life focusing on the vital role creativity plays in health and wellbeing. Helen Hammond, WMC Principal explains further: “Drawing is so great for the mind and the soul! As part of this annual celebration, we’d like to create an incredible piece of art that represents our community. You don’t have to be artistic – just willing to express your creativity and leave your artistic mark. Come alone, with friends or with the family, everyone is welcome as we put Camden on the global Big Draw map.”
The Big Draw Festival was launched in October 2000 and has since encouraged more than 4 million people to draw. It has achieved two world records – the longest drawing in the world (1km) and the greatest number of people drawing simultaneously (over 7,000).
