Learner Services Administrator x2

1.0 FTE, 35 Hours per week

0.8 FTE, 28 Hours per week

£23,325- £25,412

 

WMC – The Camden College is currently looking to recruit an administrator with customer focus experience, which would preferably be within an education based information advice and guidance environment.

You will be the initial face of the College that all enquiries see; playing a vital role in the recruitment of learners to our courses.  You will accurately respond to and process course and pre course assessment queries and enrolments, providing advice and guidance to prospective learners; as well as supporting the College by participating in a range of recruitment events, both on and off site.

Applicants should be articulate and motivated, with excellent communication, IT and interpersonal skills, and the ability to manage a varied workload under time constraints.

As an adult education college, we are open in the evenings and on Saturday’s, please note the hours during the week will include working evenings and some Saturday’s. The post involves working with young people and vulnerable adults and consequently is subject to a satisfactory enhanced disclosure check with the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS)

Situated in Camden, we are at the heart of one of the most culturally exciting, diverse and dynamic London boroughs and help to transform adult lives through education.  We offer a wide curriculum from our two main sites at Crowndale Road and Kentish Town and is seeing significant growth in our community based courses across the borough

Sessional ESOL Tutor

£29.06 Per Hour

 

Foundation Learning at WMC- The Camden College is a thriving and ambitious department, delivering enriching and enjoyable lifelong learning to adults in Camden and the local area.

We are currently expanding our pool of sessional ESOL teachers for a range of teaching opportunities both on our main site, but also in community venues in Camden and nearby boroughs.

We are seeking fully qualified ESOL teachers (PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification plus ESOL Subject Specialism), with a proven track record of successfully teaching ESOL to adults from pre-entry levels to Level 2.

If you are highly motivated with outstanding teaching skills and a passion for teaching ESOL to adults in a range of community venues, we look forward to hearing from you.

This role will be based at our main site in Camden, two minutes’ walk from Mornington Crescent.

Sessional Spanish Tutor

WMC – the Camden College, is the oldest surviving adult education institute in Europe and was founded in 1854. Our mission is to provide diverse, enriching and enjoyable lifelong learning, including skills for work, in a supportive environment for adults in Camden and the local area.

We are looking for an inspiring and innovative Spanish Tutor to join our Languages Team, with the knowledge and experience to teach a range of Spanish courses – from beginners to conversational level – starting in September 2019. Courses run during the week, daytime and evening. You will have the ability to motivate learners and communicate teaching content creatively in the classroom and through our VLE.

This role will be based at our main site in Camden, two minutes’ walk from Mornington Crescent.

Introduction to British Sign Language Tutor

We are looking for an inspiring and innovative British Sign Language Tutor to join our Childcare Team, with the knowledge and experience to teach two Saturday courses on Working in schools and nurseries: Introduction to British Sign Language. Courses will run from 9 November to 23 November; from 6 June to 20 June).

This role will be based at our main site in Camden, two minutes’ walk from Mornington Crescent.

We are looking for a qualified and inspiring tutor, with experience of working in the film industry, to join our Media department. The successful candidate will be teaching our curriculum planned for 2019-20, which includes a variety of accredited and non-accredited courses- Film Production and Screen Writing. Courses run in the daytime, Monday to Friday, and range from beginners to Level 2.
