Learner Services Supervisor

35 Hours a week

(including some Evenings and Weekends on a rota basis during term time)

£30,319-£33,116

WMC is looking for Supervisors who can support our customer-facing team through some exciting changes as we seek to continually improve services to our learners.

This role will organise the day to day work of the team, support staff in their roles to ensure that all learners and visitors to the College receive outstanding customer care. This will include supervising the whole enrolment process from first enquiry to the collection of learner enrolment data, ensuring it is efficient and effective and complies with audit, data protection and funding regulations. This role will ensure learner complaints are investigated and that these are used to promote within the team a positive culture of continual improvement that will enhance and improve the learner experience.

Learner Services Administrator

35 Hours a week

£23,325- £25,411

WMC – The Camden College is currently looking to recruit an administrator with customer focus experience, which would preferably be within an education based information advice and guidance environment.

You will be the initial face of the College that all enquiries see; playing a vital role in the recruitment of learners to our courses.  You will accurately respond to and process course and pre course assessment queries and enrolments, providing advice and guidance to prospective learners; as well as supporting the College by participating in a range of recruitment events, both on and off site.

Applicants should be articulate and motivated, with excellent communication, IT and interpersonal skills, and the ability to manage a varied workload under time constraints.

As an adult education college, we are open in the evenings and on Saturday’s, please note the 35 hour week will include working evenings and some Saturday’s. The post involves working with young people and vulnerable adults and consequently is subject to a satisfactorily enhanced disclosure check with the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS)

Sessional Pattern Cutting and Garment Construction Teacher

(intermediate-advanced)

£29.07 an hour

We are currently looking for an inspirational and creative individual who is passionate and experienced about teaching pattern cutting and garment construction. Applicants must have exceptional pattern cutting experience at intermediate-advanced level, the ability to translate 2D design into creative 3D outcomes and to deliver teaching, learning and assessment within this specialist area to the highest possible standard. The right candidate will have the experience to deliver the subject across a variety of different specialism, including womenswear, tailoring, sportswear and be able to adapt their teaching to the needs of our students

Ultimately to provide other support, advice and guidance and assessment to ensure the best possible student experience.

Ideally, you will have experience of delivering courses to adults either in an Adult Education, FE, HE or workshop setting and hold a teaching qualification.

Sessional Digital Design Teacher

£29.07 an hour

We are currently looking for an hourly paid lecturer to teach our range of exciting courses for Web Design with WordPress and Design with Adobe CC. You will be teaching a range of basic and more advanced skills to our new and existing learners.

It would desirable if you had knowledge of App Design and basic coding, in order to deliver new courses up and coming in 2019.

Governors – Join the Governing Body of WMC

 

The WMC has been a valued resource for adult learners for over 160 years. We are recruiting a number of governors to join the Board as some of our current long-serving governors are stepping down.

We are looking for governors who bring a whole-hearted commitment to adult learning, to the values of the College, and who also have knowledge of the local area and experience of the world of adult education.

In particular we would like to recruit people with experience of internal and external audit to join the Audit Committee, people with knowledge of curriculum developments in Further (Adult and Community Learning) Education, and people with strategic financial experience.

We welcome applicants from minority ethnic communities so that diversity on the board is representative of the local community.
