As 2020 draws to a close we wanted to reach out to send our warmest wishes to you over the festive period.
This year, the world collectively learnt to adapt and adjust to ever changing circumstances. Our daily lives changed and we all learnt to mould and bend to the ‘new normal’. At WM College that was no different, as the oldest surviving adult education institute in Europe we’ve discovered new ways of teaching, inspiring and supporting our students from a distance. Classes previously delivered in person became virtual, open days became online events and one of the highlights of our year, the Learner Success Awards moved online.
Whilst we reflect on all the change, we are also filled with pride at the determination and perseverance of our staff and learners. Each year, we hear inspirational stories from our students about overcoming obstacles and hurdles to create a better life for themselves and this year was more significant than ever.
Amidst the uncertainty, loss and fear of 2020 our learners adapted, changed, evolved and with the support of our staff, have been able to build better futures for themselves. So, as we say goodbye to an incredible year of growth, we welcome in 2021 and look forward to helping more adults develop and progress to create the life they want.
