You will explore a range of textile techniques through practical hands on studio sessions introducing global textile traditions and contemporary approaches. This beginner and mixed level course is ideal if you are starting your journey in textiles or returning to refresh your skills. You will build confidence in using materials while developing core skills in design including stitch, dye and contruction. Each term you will learn three key techniques inspired by world textiles including Japanese, Indian and African practices. You will combine these into a finished personal project that reflects your creativity.
