Introduction to jewellery making is a practical two‑day course designed for those new to jewellery making. You’ll learn essential metalworking skills through step‑by‑step guidance, including cutting, drilling, hammering, soldering, and polishing. Working in a supportive studio environment, you’ll create your own simple jewellery pieces while building confidence and understanding of basic tools and techniques. The course is ideal for complete beginners, as well as those with experience in other crafts who want to add jewellery‑making skills to their practice. All basic materials are included.

This two‑day workshop introduces Delft clay casting and wax casting, supporting learners to develop technical and design skills through a personal jewellery project, such as a ring or pendant. With guidance from a specialist tutor, you’ll focus on applying casting techniques, developing ideas, and trouble You will develop your technical and design skills with the support of your tutor. This course is not suitable for complete beginners and you must have some jewellery making experience to join it. All basic materials and tools provided – the fee includes Cubic Zirconia stones, copper or brass sheet metal and wire, but not precious metals. You can bring your own precious metals or stones or your tutor can advise you where to purchase these.

You’ll learn how to prepare metal, seat stones accurately, and securely flush‑set stones using specialist tools and techniques. Alongside guided exercises, you’ll make a small jewellery piece, such as a ring or pendant, to set your stone into. You’ll also make one burnisher to take home, helping you understand tools and processes. Cubic zirconia stones and base metals are provided. Please note that precious metals are not supplied, but you’re welcome to bring your own.

This two day beginners' workshop introduces casting techniques using Delft clay sand and the cuttlefish casting process. You will learn how to create basic wax models and small objects incorporating texture and cast them in materials such as bronze and pewter. You are welcome to bring small items such as decorative buttons, small toy models, or natural materials to work from. The tutor will also provide a range of objects for you to use. Through demonstrations and supported hands on practice, you will build confidence in the casting process and create your own finished pieces. If you choose to work in bronze, there will be an additional materials cost.
