We offer a range of English courses for practical day-to-day life as well as preparatory courses for Functional Skills and GCSE qualifications.
We offer a wide range of courses to help you improve your English for your day-to-day life or to gain a qualification so you can study at a higher level. Improving your English and Maths can also help you to find a job and increase your earning potential.
We can even help you with day-long courses on how to write a CV, how to make the most of LinkedIn to find work, and how to get involved in volunteering for your interests and build your career skills.
Courses range from one term to a whole year and are offered at Entry Level, Level 1, Level 2, and GCSE.
Unfortunately, our waiting list for English assessments is currently closed. Please check again in March 2026.
This will depend on your background. If you have a high level of spoken English but lack the confidence or English qualifications from school, then these courses are for you. If English is not your main language, then one of our ESOL classes may be a better route for you.
English courses are free to anyone who does not already have a GCSE grade 4 (or grade C) or above. See our fees and finance page for further details.
