Printmaking taster: Drawing with Photopolymer

Printmaking taster: Drawing with Photopolymer (WMC Camden College)

Taster courses

Photopolymer plates are a way to make prints from an etching plate without using metal or acid. This process allows you to create intaglio plates both from exposed photograph positives and hand drawn images and print using an etching press.

On this taster workshop, you will prepare a hand drawn positive with ‘tru grain’, expose the plate to transfer the image, process the plate and then print your image to take away with you.

You will be drawing directly onto true grain, so bring any images you may want to work from. The photo plates are 10x20cm so your images can be that size and you can trace them if you are not confident in drawing.

(Please also bring an old shirt/messy clothes.)
