English & Maths - GCSE

WMC Camden College GCSE english and maths

Who are these classes for?

GCSE qualifications are nationally recognised by employers and by higher education institutions (universities and colleges). Our GCSE English and Maths courses are designed for adults who prefer to study in an environment that is highly supportive and with other adults. Our teachers are highly experienced in delivering these qualifications to adults from a wide-range of backgrounds and experiences.

The GCSE qualification is funded by the government. To access the free GCSE course, you will need to take an initial assessment.

Where and when are the classes?

Our GCSE classes run at our main site at Crowndale Road, Camden Town, NW1 1TR. We have classes in the daytime, evening or on Saturdays to suit you.

How do I enrol?

For both GCSE Maths and English you must take an assessment to ensure that you are ready for the challenges of GCSE. Even those learners who have gained a grade D or functional skills Level 2 will be asked to complete an assessment and will not automatically gain a place on our GCSE classes.

It is expected that you will study at least 5 hours a week self-study outside class time to ensure success. You must be able to commit to coming to every class, completing homework and self-study as required.

An assessment/interview is needed for the GCSE courses – please check the dates for the assessment sessions or Eventbrite - Level 1 and Level 2 accredited Arts course open days

Please allow up to 2.5 hours for your assessment. You need to bring your passport or ID and proof of any previous English and Maths qualifications, and arrange childcare for your children.

To book an assessment, visit the college at 44 Crowndale Road, NW1 1TR, or email: enrol@wmcollege.ac.uk or call on: 020 7255 4759 today.
