Qualifications

Level 1 Web Design and Photoshop

This is a Level 1 Award course though which you will learn different aspects of website production and digital image creation and manipulation. The course will prepare you for further study in the subject and to progress to our L2 Web Design. Topics include: HTML coding, basic CSS coding, editing and saving graphics for use in web pages, online publishing. Through industry related projects you will create web pages and digital graphics with a mixture of practical lessons and assignments.

Level 2 Digital Art: Web Design and Photoshop

This is a Level 2 certificated course running over two terms during which you will learn different aspects of website production and digital image creation and manipulation. The course will prepare you for further study in the subject or for employment in the industry. Topics include HTML coding, CSS coding, editing and creating graphics for use in websites and online publishing and preparation for employment, interviews and work placements.

Introduction to InDesign (Mixed Level)

This course is intended for people with no previous experience of InDesign or those who have used the product but require the official training on how to use the basics of the application in the best way. Ideally suited for people wanting to edit existing InDesign documents or those wishing to create very simple newsletters or flyers.
You will familiarise with the basics of print design and layout, using Adobe InDesign as the professional’s choice. You will learn the basics of working with text, images and building documents in a correct and optimised way. In this, one of our signature courses, you will work with some of the tools and features to create eye-catching printed documents using Adobe InDesign.

Make a Business Card Using Illustrator (Mixed Level)

Whether you’re branding your own company or you’ve recently become self-employed, you need business cards to effectively advertise yourself.
Adobe Illustrator is a program used by both artists and graphic designers to create vector images. These images will then be used for company logos, promotional uses or even personal work, both in print and digital form. Adobe Illustrator is typically used to create illustrations, charts, graphs, logos, diagrams, cartoons of real photographs, and more. While the program may be difficult to understand initially, the final product will be well worth the learning curve.

Photoshop for Beginners

Photoshop is the professional choice in image editing software. On this course you will learn to unleash your creativity using Photoshop to create graphics, enhance photographs and images for print or web, illustrations and even simulate hand painting. You will add shapes, cut out images using selection tools, add text, add effects to create complex artwork using layers.

Photoshop for Graphic Designers (Mixed Level)

This course is open to beginners and improvers, you don’t need any previous experience as full instruction and guidance is given on how to use this software. You will be introduced to Adobe Photoshop CC image manipulation software working through the features in detail starting from the very basics. The course is ideal for those starting off in using Photoshop for graphic design and useful for learners looking to improve their skills and ensure they are using the programme as efficiently as possible.

Photoshop for Photographers (Mixed Level)

This course is open to beginners and improvers, you don’t need any previous experience as full instruction and guidance is given. You will be introduced to Adobe Photoshop CC working through the features in detail from the very basics. The course is ideal for those starting off in using Photoshop for photography and useful for learners looking to improve their skills and ensure they are using the programme as efficiently as possible.

Web Design and Blogging with WordPress (Beginners/Intermediate)

You will be using WordPress as a tool to build a website and specifically create blogging content.WordPress is used to run around 30% of world’s websites (simple and complex websites, e-shops, CMSs) so learning how to use wordpress.com will be beneficial to anyone who would like to design their own websites or create blogs. Blogging allows you to update your content in a responsive and immediate way.
