Daytime and Evening AutoCAD and Sketch Up Courses

AutoCAD (Beginners)

This course will introduce you to AutoCAD which is an industry standard Computer Aided Design software. You will learn the basics of 2D drafting, annotation, drawing set up and management through several guided projects. This course is suitable for anyone looking to work or currently working in the Architecture, Interior Design, Furniture, Product Design, Engineering or Construction sector. Learners that currently study on an Interior Design/ Architecture/ Product Design etc. may find this a good addition to their skill set.

AutoCAD 2D Projects and SketchUp Intermediate

This course is suitable for anyone looking to work or currently working in the Architecture, Interior Design, Furniture, Product Design, Engineering or Construction sector. Learners that currently study on an Interior Design/ Architecture/ Product Design course etc. may also find this a good addition to their skill set. Learners should have good basic 2D knowledge of AutoCAD and some experience with SketchUp. This course builds on the AutoCAD 2016 Intermediate 2D and SketchUp Introduction course and is aimed at learners who wish to practice and develop their skills further. Both programs are widely used in the industry and advancing your skills in this area may be crucial for employment in the design industry.

AutoCAD Intermediate 2D and Introduction to SketchUp

This course builds on the AutoCAD Beginners course and combines two widely used industry standard CAD programmes, AutoCAD 2016 and SketchUp. You will be able to develop your AutoCAD 2D drafting skills by working on more complex projects whilst improving speed, efficiency and mastering essential professional workflows. You will also be introduced to SketchUp 3D modelling software and learn basic 3D modelling and rendering tools. This course is suitable for anyone looking to work or currently working in the Architecture, Interior Design, Furniture, Product Design, Engineering or Construction sector. Learners that currently study on an Interior Design/ Architecture/ Product Design course etc. may also find this a good addition to their skill set. Learners should have some experience in 2D Autocad.

Saturday Introduction to AutoCAD

This course will introduce you to AutoCAD 2016 a widely used industry standard Computer Aided Design software. You will learn the basics of 2D drafting, annotation, drawing set up and layout setup for printing through a series of exercises and guided projects. This course is suitable for anyone looking to work or currently working in the Architecture, Interior Design, Furniture, Product Design, Engineering or Construction sector. Learners that currently study on an Interior Design/ Architecture/ Product Design etc. may find this a good addition to their skill set.

Saturday Sketch Up (Mixed Level)

The course will introduce you to a fantastic 3D modelling tool: Google SketchUp currently used by many industry professionals to visualise their design projects in 3D. The course will introduce you to the SketchUp interface, basic 2D and 3D drawing tools through several guided projects to create 3D models from 2D objects or drawings. It will also cover basic material application, 3d render/ camera tools, working with online libraries and creating scenes for still images or a basic walk through. This course is useful for anyone wishing to expand their 3D design skill set and will complement study or working in Interior Design, Set Design, Product Design, Architecture or similar design disciplines.
