Qualifications

Access Award in Accounting Software Level 1 (AAT)

This is the perfect starting point if you want to carry out basic finance and administrative duties using accounting software packages. During the course you will learn the benefits and risks of using accounting software to set up accounts, record bank and cash transactions, produce reports and gain confidence to seek, or enhance your current employment. No previous experience of accounting is needed, although you will need an assessment to join the course.

Access Award in Bookkeeping Level 1 (AAT)

This course will introduce you to the role of a bookkeeper and give you a solid background in financial transactions and single-entry bookkeeping, providing you with essential skills to enhance your current role, progress to employment as a cashier or into an administrative role. You will learn how to process customer and supplier transactions, receipts and payments. No previous experience of accounting is needed, although you will need an assessment to join the course.

Foundation Award in Accounting Software Level 2 (AAT)

With this qualification you can build on your knowledge of accounting software packages. You will learn practical skills, from using accounting software, entering accounting transactions and producing a range of reports. Completion of this course can enhance skills for use in your current workplace or support you in gaining employment as an administrative assistant, trainee bookkeeper, accounts clerk or finance assistant

Bookkeeping for Self Employment – Using Quickbooks

This course is for small business entrepreneurs who want to learn how to use ‘QuickBooks’ to manage their accounts. This on-line accounting software will help you to produce invoices; make and accept payments; track expenses, stock and mileage. This will enable you to better control your cash flow and make completion of tax returns easier.

Introduction to Bookkeeping

This course will give you an introduction and insight into the world of Bookkeeping. The recording of financial transactions is part of the process of accounting in business. Transactions include purchases, sales, receipts and payments by an individual or an organisation /corporation. You will familiarise yourself with the language of accounting and learn a range of basic bookkeeping techniques.

Introduction to Bookkeeping Workshop

This workshop-style course is aimed at learners who are planning to enrol on the Access Award in Bookkeeping Level 1 course.

Introduction to Sage Accountancy

This Course is aimed at those seeking a first understanding in the practical use of computerised accounts. You will receive an introduction to the world of accounting. Learn its terminology and how computerised accounting can work alongside manual accounts. You will discuss the different accounting software available but you will be working with Sage 50.

Introduction to Sage Accountancy Workshop

This Course is aimed at those seeking a first understanding in the practical use of computerised accounts. You will receive an introduction to the world of accounting. Introduction to Sage Payroll

This Course will give you an introduction to Computerised Payroll and help develop the skills and knowledge to be able to enter an employee’s gross pay from given basic personal and contractual information and do a payroll run. The skills gained on this course will help those looking for employment as a wages clerk or payroll assistant.
