Through presentations, class discusions, looking at texts and reflective writing, you will develop your knowledge and understanding of how it applies to everyday actions at home and at work.

During the course, you will set your own targets on an individual learning plan, where you can reflect on your progress and what more you want to do. There is no formal qualification attached to this course, but you can receive a Certificate of Completion from the college on request.

You may be interested in one of our other green courses to further fuel your interest and build your knowledge. There is a different one each term.

We also offer accredited courses at Level 1 and Level 2 where a qualification would be useful to you.

Teachers are supported to ensure their materials are inclusive to meet learners’ needs. Provision of assistive equipment is available and access support can be provided through reasonable adjustments, subject to an interview with the ALS team and/or the Disability Officer. Digital Learning support is available in the Learning Centre.

Rehab Jameel – Sustainability and Green Skills Tutor

Rehab is a Civil-Structural Design and Sustainable Development Engineer, Sustainability and Environmental Solution Consultant and Educator with over 10 years of international experience in Climate Action, Education and Social Impact. She has worked across the UK, Europe, Africa, and the Middle East, leading engineering projects, curriculum development, community programs and sustainability initiatives supporting diverse and underserved communities.

TEACHING AND LEARNER SUPPORT
Rehab has experience teaching adult learners in inclusive and supportive environments. She uses clear, practical approaches to help learners build confidence and problem-solving. She integrates sustainability into learning. Her teaching connects learning to real-life situations helping learners develop real-world skills for employment, further study, and more sustainable everyday choices.
