Course Content

During this five week course, depending on prior experience, you will be introduced to a variety of textile processes. You will then negotiate your own projects through research, design and sample making, using and refining combinations of the techniques covered.

You will use your new found skills to create accomplished final pieces, such as fashion fabrics, accessories, customised ‘upcycled’ garments, cushion covers, furnishing fabrics or beautiful samples for the portfolio.

You will be supported in realising your personal goals and projects through one to one discussion at regular intervals with the tutor.

Teaching and Learning Methods

You will learn through practical demonstrations, group discussion and one to one tuition through practical making and handouts. New skills and techniques will be introduced throughout the year, revisiting and building on some.

All resources used within each lesson are available on the online learning platform, iLearn.
