You will need to have basic computer literacy and be familiar with Windows operating systems. A general understanding of business and accounting concepts would be helpful but is not essential.

You will learn to navigate the software, set up company accounts, manage transactions relating to customers, suppliers, receipts and payments, and generate important financial reports. By the end of this course, you will have the confidence to handle day-to-day accounting tasks and maintain accurate financial records for any business.

In addition, independent study will be required to help you successfully complete the range of assessments associated with the course.

Assessment is continuous and takes place throughout the programme by a variety of methods including practical online assessments, written tasks This is a non-accredited course but a Certificate of Completion can be provided by the College on request.

Teachers are supported to ensure their materials are inclusive to meet learners’ needs. Catherine is a highly experienced accountant with many years’ experience in Accounting, Finance & Business. She is ambitious, well organized, and goal-oriented, with a clear vision of future objectives. She is also a qualified Internal Quality Assurer (IQA) with experience in Health and Social Care and Employability skills.

Catherine has over 13 years of teaching experience and supports learners through a practical, hands-on approach. She consistently delivers high-quality teaching and learning, while ensuring assessment processes meet the standards set by the awarding body and the college.
