If you are interested in a specialist technique not listed or described in the course description, please contact the Curriculum Manage before enrolling to find out if it is possible for us to accommodate this.
On this course, you will learn how to cut a bevelled picture mount and make a wooden picture frame using mouldings. Beginners will follow a structured programme. You will be introduced to specialist equipment, tools and materials, cut mounts and will consider all aspects of decorative finish. Once you have mastered the basics, you will be able to work on your on your own framing projects with tutor support. Basic materials are provided, but your tutor will recommend places to buy specialist mouldings and where to have glass cut as this is not something we cover on the course. For the first lesson, please bring with you an image youd like to mount, up to a maximum of A3 size.
