You will need to do an initial assessment before you enrol to check what level course is right for you.

This course covers basic maths concepts at L1 and L2.

You will do regular class tests, complete homework, work alone and in pairs or groups to solve problems in class, ask and answer questions from the teacher and other learners, and use computers to access online resources. You will discuss your individual learning goals and your progress towards these goals at regular points throughout the course with your teacher. All learners are expected to attend regularly and be on time. In addition to the classes you will be expected to complete regular homework and practise the skills you have learnt in the classroom.

You will be assessed on your own individual targets. Achievement of targets may be through completing activities, simple tests or demonstrating your skills to the teacher. This is a non-accredited course.

After this course you will be able to progress the next year onto an accredited Maths course.

Teachers are supported to ensure their materials are inclusive to meet all learners needs.
