Course Description

This qualification has been designed to support those working or wanting to work in first line management and supervisory roles. Students will study techniques for dealing with teams, organisational change, motivation, conflict in the workplace and business structures.
The course is delivered online and is therefore convenient for everyone including those in employment and/or long-distance commuters.

Course Requirements

Level 2 English or equivalent (essential) A good knowledge of IT including internet research and word-processing.

Course Content

Course Content

There are 8 mandatory units covering areas such as Team Leading, Solving Problems and Making Decisions, and learners will be prepared to step into supervisory and leadership roles with confidence.

Teaching and Learning Methods

Tuesdays online plus some Saturdays. Teaching and learning methods include professional discussion, individual and groupwork plus individual assignment completion. Resources used within each lesson are available for learners on our online learning platform

Assessment

All units will be assessed using a range of methods such as; written assignments, presentations or practical tasks

Next Steps and Progression

Learners may progress onto Level 3 qualifications in related areas or into employment in management and leadership roles or roles requiring skills in supervision and team leading.

Additional Learning Support

Additional Learning Support (ALS) is available for this course and is subject to an assessment with a member of our support staff.  ALS may include one or more of the following: support in classes, out of class in small groups, workshops or 1:1 with a specialist tutor.  Reasonable adjustments including assistive equipment and also access support can be made available through our Disability Officer. Please let us know as soon as possible about your learning needs and/or disabilities so we can arrange support at the earliest opportunity.  Teachers are supported to ensure their materials are inclusive to meet all learners needs. Digital Learning support is available in the Learning Centre at our Camden site. Careers and employability advice and guidance is also available to all learners.
