Introduction to Jewellery Making (Beginners)

Course Description

This 2-day course is for beginners who want to learn the basics of metal jewellery construction. The emphasis is on learning key metalworking skills through designing, making and constructing exciting wearable jewellery pieces. You will gain knowledge and experience of hand tool techniques, creating, assembling and finishing techniques. All basic material provided including wire and sheet metal. Please note we do not provide precious metals and gems, but you can bring your own or your tutor can advise you where to buy.

Teachers are supported to ensure their materials are inclusive to meet all learners needs. Provision of assistive equipment is available and access support can be provided through reasonable adjustments, subject to an assessment by the ALS team and/or the Disability Officer. Digital Learning support is available in the Learning Centre at our Camden site. Careers advice and guidance is also available to all learners.
