Course Description

The workshop will provide you with the knowledge and guidance on numerous aspects that you must consider before beginning your start-up, including your business idea, finances, and market research. Once you complete the training, you will be prepared to take forward a viable idea and set up your business in accordance with the law.

Course Requirements

There are no specific recommended prior learning requirements for this workshop. However, learners may find it helpful if they?ve already achieved an Entry Level 3 qualification.

Course Content

In this workshop, you will learn how to successfully start your own business. You will learn numerous aspects that you must consider before beginning your start-up, including your business idea, finances, market research, and how to present your business idea to a panel.

Teaching and Learning Methods

Your tutor will use a variety of teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles to support you in achieving your goals. The teaching in this course will be mainly activity-based, involving lectures, demonstrations, and practical activities.

Assessment

There is no exam or formal assessment for this workshop. However, you will complete an Individual Learning Plan (ILP) which will outline the learning objectives for the course. You will also be invited to set your own goals. You will receive feedback against the achievement of these outcomes during the course from your tutor and in written form at the end of the course. There is no formal qualification attached to this course, but you can receive a Certificate of Completion from the college on request.

?Once you complete this workshop, you'll be more aware of the process and other important factors to consider when starting your own business venture or progress to any Level 1 content related courses.
