On this hands-on course you will learn the art of storytelling through editing. Through the combination of lectures and hands-on software practice, learners will gain knowledge of the work of an editor, post production workflow and various editing styles as well as media management and technical expertise used when taking video projects from start to finish. Finally, you will have cloud access to relevant Adobe software for the course duration.
You will need to know how to use a digital camera to capture video at beginners' level and be comfortable working on a computer, having basic IT skills. The course will be taught on Macs and part of the teaching will be to help you better understand and navigate MACOSX. You will also need to complete an individual learning plan.
You will be using video editing software to produce a short project. You will then be able to take your videos to the next level using audio, transitions, sound effects and titles. The course also includes media management, project organisation and understanding industry terminology.
