This comprehensive beginner-friendly course introduces you to Xero, the leading cloud-based accounting software trusted by millions of small and medium businesses worldwide. Designed for business owners, bookkeepers, and accounting professionals new to Xero, this course provides practical, hands-on training to help you master financial management in the cloud.

Who is this course for and what will I learn?
You will need to have basic computer literacy and be familiar with Windows operating systems and web browser. A general understanding of business and accounting concepts would be helpful but is not mandatory.
You will learn to navigate the software, set up company accounts, manage transactions relating to customers, suppliers, receipts and payments, and generate important financial reports. By the end of this course, you will have the confidence to handle day-to-day accounting tasks and maintain accurate financial records for any business.
How will I learn?
Through real-world scenarios and interactive exercises, you'll learn to leverage Xero's intuitive interface and powerful automation features to streamline your accounting processes. The course emphasizes practical application, ensuring you can confidently manage invoicing, expense tracking, bank reconciliation, and financial reporting from day one.
Assessment and next steps
Assessment is continuous and takes place throughout the programme by a variety of methods including practical online assessments, written tasks This is a non-accredited course but a Certificate of Completion can be provided by the College on request.

Catherine is a highly experienced accountant with many years’ experience in Accounting, Finance & Business. She is ambitious, well organized, and goal-oriented, with a clear vision of future objectives. She is also a qualified Internal Quality Assurer (IQA) with experience in Health and Social Care and Employability skills.
