Student Profile: Anna Dowsland
FdA Art and Design Professional Practice (Illustration pathway)
Before I started my course I was just working, the jobs I had were not art related. I found out about the course on the web when I was looking for degrees. I found it to be the most interesting and it fitted my profile well. In addition, the hours were flexible and the College was a good distance from home. It was a last minute choice really. I had always been interested in art but never got a chance to try any courses before. I thought it would be just a hobby, not a career path. The small size of the cohort on my year meant that I got to know everyone well. Having a mix of students was useful as we could learn from each other. Our tutor’s teaching was brilliant and we received a lot of support.
I am going to continue my studies in the future at University. Meanwhile, I already have a few internships lined out.
