ADVICE & GUIDANCE AND ENROLLING YOU ON THE RIGHT COURSE
Our Learner Services Team is here to help you choose the right course. The team will provide you with impartial advice & guidance about courses, including details about eligibility to enrol as a learner, entitlement to financial support and reduced fees, availability of places and college facilities.
We are committed to supporting all learners in a variety of ways with particular support for learners with disabilities or learning difficulties. Learner Services will advise you about availability of learning or other support services and college facilities. They will refer you to and make appointments for you with our Learning Support team or other specialist services.
LIBRARY & LEARNING RESOURCE CENTRE & FREE WIFI
Visit the magnificent listed original Library (room 601) on Level 6 by lift A. You can borrow books, use computers for your course work or just find a quiet place to read or study. Any time you are in the college you can make use of our free wifi.
CAREERS ADVICE & GUIDANCE
If you are looking for a job, a volunteering opportunity or a work placement, we can help you. You will receive guidance on job search, filling in job application forms, improving your CV/interview skills and advice on any other progression opportunities. Drop into room 305, our Open Learning Centre, see the jobs board and receive the support and help you need
WELFARE ADVICE & SUPPORT
If you have financial worries, are confused about welfare benefits, are facing homelessness, or are on low income and think you might be eligible for support with childcare, travel and course related materials, please talk to our Learner Services Team.
Located on the main corridor, at Level 3 by lift B, the Ruskin Café is at the heart of the College. It is a light-filled space where learners can get refreshments, enjoy good home cooked food, study or meet up with friends.
This is a space that is available to all members of the college community for quiet contemplation. The Quiet Room can be found on level 1
Exhibitions of art and craft work by students, staff, alumni and visiting artists are regularly organised within the College or elsewhere. See details at www.wmcollege.ac.uk and www.ruskingallery.com and at the College.
