Equality of Opportunity at WMC

WMC welcomes women and men, young and old people, people with learning difficulties and disabilities, married, single, gay, transgender and heterosexual people, people from all ethnic groups and any or no religion. We know that diversity is a great source of strength and we aim to ensure that everyone feels included.

Single Equality Scheme

The WMC Single Equality Scheme has been completely revised to ensure that it is fully compliant with the 2010 Equality Act. It gives a comprehensive overview of how WMC ensures that no-one is discriminated against on the basis of any of the protected characteristics and how the college promotes equality of opportunity to ensure that all students and staff are able to achieve their potential.

The updated Action Plan for 2011/12 will be appended to the Scheme in December 2011. The Scheme is reviewed annually in June.
