WMC at Employment and Skills Opportunities Fair

Lord Coe & Nasim Ali at the Fair
WMC at Employment and Skills Opportunities Fair, opened by Lord Coe & Cllr Nasim Ali on 3 November at WKC
Friday 04 November 2011
Camden - Olympics - Training - Jobs
The Fair promoted skill, apprenticeship and employment opportunities that local trainers and businesses can offer Camden residents – with a particular focus on London 2012 Olympics related jobs such as catering, hospitality, retail and cleaning. Inspiration came from opening addresses by Lord Coe and by Nasim Ali, Leader of Camden Council.
Opportunities at Working Men's College
WMC was one of 15 exhibitors showcasing local courses. Many visitors collected a WMC prospectus and enquired about our courses giving skills needed for work or that help people get into apprenticeships or volunteering: CV writing, English, Maths, computing, accounts software, business administration, medical administration, childcare, health and social care, teaching assistants, apprenticeships in business administration, customer care and more.
Businesses and Employers in Camden
Equally staff from WMC's Business Development team, including one of our newly recruited business administration apprentices, welcomed the contact they were able to make with a number of businesses and employers in Camden
