We are proud of our high quality learning environments which enable us to provide our learners with such a wide curriculum offer. We believe that in order to facilitate your learner experience, and for you to participate and create in the 21st Century, we need to offer you access to traditional working methods and media alongside contemporary technologies and environment.

Crowndale Road (Main site)

Sitting inside our 1904 listed building with its stunning Victoriana, wonderful original Library and arts and crafts ceiling you will find:

  • Classrooms equipped with interactive whiteboards and audio visual equipment.
  • Bespoke art studios for sculpture, glass, jewellery, ceramics, fashion, media, design and the general arts.
  • A hair and beauty salon – Studio 101.
  • A performance studio.
  • A grand hall with a stage, audio visual equipment, PA & lighting (Maurice Hall).
  • Dedicated PC and MAC studios and access to mobile devices to aid your learning.
  • Free wifi.
  • Open Learning Centre.
  • A welcoming café serving hot and cold food from early morning to late evening.
  • Ruskin Gallery.

Kentish Town site

  • Classrooms equipped with interactive whiteboards and audio visual equipment.
  • A dedicated printmaking studio.
  • Free wifi.
  • Café serving hot and cold drinks and snacks.

Open Learning Centre

Our new facility opening in September 2016 will provide extensive support for learning such as:

  • Individual and group support.
  • Access to PCs, tablets and mobile devices.
  • A job hub and job search support.

The Open Learning Centre will be staffed by supportive tutors and learning assistants.

Library & Learning Resource Centre

Situated in the College’s beautiful historic original Library (room 601, at Level 6 by lift A), our Library & Learning Resource Centre is an open and inclusive space designed to inspire learning, invite interaction and improve access to information and knowledge for learners and staff.

Resources support all areas of the curriculum, including key texts needed to complete your study. The extensive collection of arts books covers historic and contemporary artistic practice in all fields. Whether you’re looking to the past for inspiration or searching for information on the latest creative techniques we have materials for you.

The library is equipped with PCs, MACs and laptops. Self-service scanning and photocopying facilities are also available plus free wifi throughout the College.

The Ruskin Café and Gallery

Located on the main corridor, at Level 3 by lift B, the Ruskin Café is at the heart of the College. It is a light-filled space where learners can get refreshments, enjoy good home cooked food, study or meet up with friends. Within the Ruskin Cafe is a contemporary gallery space that provides learners with the opportunity to showcase their work at a professional level.

Exhibitions of art and craft work by learners, staff, alumni and visiting artists are regularly organised within the College or elsewhere. See details at www.ruskingallery.com.

Studio 101

Studio 101 is our large onsite hair and beauty salon, for men and women. Studio 101 enables learners to develop their skills and strengthen their career prospects.

Our learners provide an excellent professional service and work under the supervision of expert tutors who have a wealth of experience in the industry. Please call and check the availability and times of services as some treatments are only offered at certain times of the year, depending on the course requirements and assessment needs of our learners – this could mean free treatments when models are required so keep an eye out on our website and social media channels.

Quiet Room

This is a space that is available to all members of the college community for quiet contemplation. The Quiet Room can be found on level 1.
