  • Adverse Weather - Protocol

Will college be open or closed?

In the event of disruption caused by adverse weather, the prime concern of WMC will always be the safety of our staff and students.

If the college needs to close due to the adverse weather, a message will be posted on the website, iLearn and social media sites.

If the college can remain open in the adverse weather then no message will be posted as we will be open as normal. However, we advise all staff and students to be extra careful on their journey into college by giving yourself extra travel time and only travel in if it is safe to do so.

WMC - The Camden College

Local, Friendly, Outstanding, Adult & Community College

We offer a diverse range of daytime, evening and weekend courses for adults (aged 19 and over) in art, design, fashion, textile, media, humanities, performance arts, languages, ESOL, English and Maths, as well as vocational courses in computing, administration, teaching support, nursing, hair & beauty and health & social care.

Our full-time and part-time Foundation Diploma in Art and Design, Fashion or Media prepare you for further study at university. This course is available for students aged 16 and over.

We are based in Camden in central London, just a few steps from Mornington Crescent tube and close to Camden Town tube station and St Pancras International - an area that houses the highest concentration of media professionals in London (higher than Hackney and Shoreditch) and that has become London’s new hub for creativity.

Students love WMC's friendly atmosphere, truly supportive teachers and fantastic location. In April 2013 the College received grade 1 'Outstanding Overall' by Ofsted and became the first London college, and one of only five colleges nationally, to be graded Outstanding overall by Ofsted since the introduction of the new inspection framework.
