On this course, students will be composing their own music or composing music with a given idea from the teacher. Every student will be encouraged to express themselves by composing in any style they prefer such as classical, modern, jazz, minimal or serial and will be taught compositional techniques, music theory and other information relevant to the chosen style. Counterpoint, harmony, form, and orchestration will be taught when applicable.

Have you ever wanted to become a DJ and build your confidence with mixing music in front of an audience? The aim of this course is to take your DJing skills from your home to the venue. You will learn beat matching, how to be adaptable to an audience, how to perform as a DJ and how to use relevant software and hardware. The course is open to individuals at all levels and will teach you to mix a variety of different genres.

This course will focus on basic music theory and music notation enhanced with ear-training activities. You will be learning about musical figures and rhythms, intervals, major and minor scales as well as basic harmony and chords. You will be engaged in the recognition of musical rhythms, intervals, scales and chords. You will be encouraged to engage in practical activities such as singing and clapping rhythms to also help develop your music theory skills in a practical, performative way.
